Bournemouth Air Festival
What a fantastic show! I was at the Bournemouth Air Festival all day on Friday and half the day on Saturday, and got to see everything from the Typhoon (Eurofighter) and Red Arrows through to a Spitfire, Hurricane and Lancaster doing the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight!
I personally thought the Sea Vixen was fantastic. Really good looking aircraft - unique and nice and noisy as well!

Tired (and my new mobile!)
Busy day today, lots of driving. Speaking of driving, my new car's at the garage - should be able to pick it up possibly tomorrow, but definitely by Friday.
I've got me a new phone - an HTC Touch Diamond. I've done quite a bit of fiddling around with it so far (and I've only had it 3 days) - I've written a simple C# app after downloading the WM6 Pro SDK, got the g-sensor API which I need to play with, and partially reverse engineered the RIL interface to get access to the radio interface from C#. I'll definitely put more info up about this when I've got something concrete to shout about.

The Reds
Went to Swanage today to see the Red Arrows do their stuff. I must have seen them about 5 times, and they are just so precise every time - it amazes me! Couple of quickly fiddled with shots showing a bit of the display and a couple of Arrows amazingly close together.
Now I must bow to the power of Lady Stella Artois and disappear before I say something silly.

And so it came to pass
Today's my last day driving the Micra to work - she's being part exchanged tomorrow for my shiny new car (a very manly Citroen C1!).
It's moderately emotional, actually - I know it's only a lump of metal, but she's still doing well (except for the wheel bearings), but the MOT runs out on Sunday and I wanted something a bit safer and more economical.
So there you have it. Farewell Dot. You have been my trusty steed for nearly 4 years. RIP.
